Philosophy of Counseling
I support the growth and development of constructive mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual healing as a behavioral health counselor. In particular, I help clients establish good lifestyle traits, support their autonomy, stimulate creative expression, and encourage lifelong learning and personal accomplishment through therapy. My preferred method is cognitive-behavioral therapy. The goal of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is to help clients stop thinking and acting in negative ways. Since CBT is the most successful therapeutic strategy, I have chosen it as the primary theory. It works best because it makes one more conscious of harmful and negative thinking, which enables them to view situations objectively and deal with difficulties more skillfully.
